I am a student in my last year of university and currently working on my research project regarding lightning protection of wind turbines.
The main objective of the project is to model a wind turbine and then apply different configurations of air terminals to one of the blades of the wind turbine and simulate a lightning striking the blade.
Basically what I am trying to calculate is the electric field distribution around these air terminals and see which ones are the most effective in intercepting the lightning stroke.
Finally, at the moment I have installed ANSYS Workbench 18.2 on my laptop and plan to use it as I have access to the academic licence but I am not convinced that I will be able to reach my goal and that ANSYS Maxwell, for example, might be a better option in my scenario.
Could you please provide advice if Workbench is capable of running my analysis or if I have to use something else.
