AIrfoil Mesh

Hello,

I have been trying to generate a mesh for a flow domain over an airfoil and in order to get accurate results I need a very good mesh.

After following countless tutorials I was able to generate a structured mesh but unfortunately, my solution did not converge (Floating point error).

I was able to generate a new mesh with edge sizing, face meshing and inflation around the airfoil wall to appropriately capture BL effects but the mesh keeps failing, how do I fix this?

The aspect ratio of the elements looks excessive. Use more elements along the airfoil length.

I have been able to generate a mesh with edge sizing, face meshing and inflation around the airfoil wall, However, the inflation does not form even though the mesh is generated

Below is a zoomed in image showing a portion of the airfoil wall without the inflation

The error message is: "inflation not possible with this setting, mesh without inflation will be created"

Please, how do I fix this?

Also, what is the ideal aspect ratio value one should look out for?

You can't use Inflation with Face Meshing.

you need to use edge biasing with face meshing.

Hello,

 

I have to mesh to analyze the airfoil of different attack angles, but I cannot assign structural mesh. I'm getting errors. I have no problem when I don't have an angle. I can mesh properly as above. But when I'm angled, I have trouble. Help me, please. I will not be able to do my thesis.
