The following error is shown after saving a project in Fluent:

Writing "| gzip -2cf > FFF-Setup-Output.cas.gz"...

Writing temporary file C:\Users\name\AppData\Local\Temp\flntgz-134082 ...

9594 tetrahedral cells, zone  3, binary.

2578 triangular wall faces, zone  1, binary.

17899 triangular interior faces, zone  2, binary.

    2321 nodes, binary.

    2321 node flags, binary.

C:\Users\name: No such file or directory

name\AppData\Local\Temp\flntgz-134082: No such file or directory

Warning: Error in writing compressed file "FFF-Setup-Output.cas.gz"Done

Then if i check in files on workbench, the fluent case file is highlighted in red and with crossmark so it's corrupted. CFD-Post couldn't get the geometry from above cells eventhough every cell is updated (green tick is shown).

I checked no. of nodes, they are less than 512K (max. no. of nodes for student version)

I changed the temp files folder and still the error persists.

Hello,

Do you see this happen with every project you are attempting to save?

Quick question about installation - did you install Ansys WorkBench in 'Administrator' mode?

Please let us know more about this and we might have to move this question to the 'Installation' thread to get you the necessary help.

Thank you.

Best Regards,

Karthik

Yeah, it's happening for every project and yes I installed it in administrator mode.

Please post a screenshot of the "Options" sub-menu under "Tools" in the Workbench

I do have 25GB of free space in C: drive and i can access temp folder (ansys files are present in it, so temp is being accessed by ansys)

Can you please open Fluent in standalone mode?

Go to Windows Start --> Type Fluent --> Open Fluent.

Can you please try to save file using this standalone Fluent session?

If standalone session gives issue for .gz file then please save only .cas file and let us know.

Regards,

Keyur
