Hi All,

I am fairly new to ANSYS Fluent. Does anyone know of any good tutorials involving using SolidWorks models in ANSYS Fluent that use enclosed rotating propellers (centrifugal pumps etc.) to drive fluid?

Also, I have a 6 part assembly in which 3 of the parts need to rotate exactly at the same time as well. Do I need to create1 part for these 3 objects or can I keep the parts separate and still ensure they are rotating together?

Thanks!

I have watched this first video previously and was wondering why they have a solid body for the impeller zone? Can I have just empty space where my impeller isn't there?

It looks like the impeller solid is suppressed for meshing. Ie we use it to create the geometry but don't include in the model: if you look at the Fluent model there are only two cell zones - impeller & casing. We don't need to include the metal bit in the model unless you're looking at heat transfer.
