coupled lng sloshing

what are the ansys components required to perform an analysis like the one provided in the link below?

I have designed the ship with tanks.How to generate wave and the inside tank liquid motion at the same time?

It says flow 3d on the video. Still I would ask them if you have an email address.

In ansys this could be possible done, via ansys aqwa, for the wave loads and motion, coupled to a structural mechanical that has then acoustic/fluid element (say fluid220 element) for the sloshing inside the tanks. Never done that so cannot tell you anything about how to do this. Someone else might.

can you please elaborate it a bit?

I am now having the ship with tank in it.I would input the model in ansys aqwa and complete the set up part for motion analysis.

Then how will i develop the multiphase part inside the sloshing tank?

Should i transfer the set up to structural mechanical? so that the physics inside the sloshing tank can be set up

and which analysis should i run first ? or will i get both results simultaneously by using the component "system coupling" ?

It all comes down to what you want to do or find out. 

AQWA will give you the motion of the ship based on hull form etc and they would be passed to Fluent to determine sloshing. The forces can then be passed to Mechanical to see if the tank will buckle. 

Having seen LNG tanks I'd expect a lot of baffles too as sloshing is bad: google LNG roll over.

How give the response of the ship as the external excitation force of sloshing tank?

You pass the motion from AQWA to Fluent, and then Fluent will be used to see how the sloshing occurs.

i have made the problem specific now...

fig 3 is model for ansys aqwa

fig 2 is model for ansys fluent.

i think i should avoid the domain box in ansys fluent model,is what i understood from previous discussions.

then perform sloshing analysis for tanks alone by supressing the hull in ansys fluent?

Figure 4 shows the components. Can you please draw arrows on the order of how to tranfer data?

Last time we did this we exported the motion speed/displacement (I can't remember what AQWA reports) and used that as an input to Fluent: we used moving mesh but you can also mess with the gravity vectors. We didn't use Workbench to transfer data as it was easier to work with UDFs.
