now, i'm using ansys 19.0 for my project. and i got problem in my solution. why chip fromation is not formed in my solution? why there's just red dots all over my workpiece?  and about the velocity and feeding, could u tell me how to adjust them? thank you

thank you for your respond. im using new material, because the engineering data don't have AISI 1045. for the material i'm following this:

.how to show the chip formation? and for the tool rotation / angular velocity and feeding value, im still a lil bit confused. in my assumption for feeding is the value displacement / end time. and the tool rotation, i think i must convert my angular velocity (rpm) to degree /second. or i should put the velocity in initial condition. thank you so much

Decrease the mesh size and increase the feed of the drill bit. There aren't are enough elements in the thickness direction as the cutting is happening. Erosion controls are also important, so make sure they are consistent with whats shown in the video.

I am not sure how the experiments are carried out. But, if I was asked to simulate this, I would define a constant angular velocity and specify a displacement in the appropriate direction. If you specify an initial velocity wouldn't the drill stop rotating after a while due to friction.
