Hello,

i would like to simulate the electrostatic induction of a metal electrode suspended in a electric field in the transient time domain. I tried to emulate the "dielectric" properties of the metal by applying a high permittivity (> 10e10). Unfortunately the calculation is canceled with the error message:

A large negative pivot value (-3.226585202E-11) has been encountered in the global assembled matrix. […]

Is there a boundary or domain option in APDL to get the appropiate behaviour of the material or some kind of adaptive calcualtion of the surface charges on the electrode?

Thank you very much in advance!

Best Regards Alex
