Hello all,

I am quite new with Ansys workbech and am having some problem with mesh file as i cannot see my imported part for meshing,I have imported .iges file from solid works and have sorted out few basic errors as was pointed out by Design modeler.but when am trying to open it in for meshing  am getting an error message saying "Unable to open C:\.....\dp0\global\mech\FFF.mshdb ". I am not sure if this information might help but my ansys workbench is in english and and my Windows is in German. Can it because of the filepath its getting saved and msher cannot find it? if yes how can that be sorted out?

Please use tools - analysis tools - fault detection to check if there are in faults in geometry in DM.

Also you just need to connect meshing component to DM and geometry will transfer to meshing.

Drag mesh component over geometry component so that they get connected.

Hi Sankhu,

Are you connecting the geometry and meshing blocks in Workbench? If so, once you have repaired the geometry in DesignModeler and you connect it to the Meshing block does it give you a problem? Have you tried to pass the fixed geometry from DesignModeler to SpaceClaim to see if SC detects any error. Typically a healthy geometry in SpaceClaim will be transfer with no issues to Meshing.
