Heat flux distribution

Dear Community

I'm studying the influence of a local heat treatment on a thin sheet-metal.

Therefore I tried different arrangements of the heat input source. In this simulation its a square-like heat flux in the middle.

So far so good. I get the expected heat distribution along the horizontal line.

But if I'm trying to put this heat source (same conditions) in the corner of the sheet-metal I'm getting a symmetry-like distribution of the temperature, with max. Temp. at the border of the sheet. But I'm expecting the max. in the middle of the given square-geometry.

Don't take into consideration the temperature value. I'm refering to the distribution and not the value.

Many thanks for your help.

I expect to see exactly what you got because there is no way for the heat to leave from the edge.
