Hi, I am now simulating the boiling in vertical annulus using Eulerian multiphase model and RPI boiling model. I set the secondary phase diameter (vapor) diameter to 'boiling-dia', but I can't find how it's calculated from the User guide. Can anyone show the equation to calculated this diameter?
How is the 'boiling-dia' in Eulerian multiphase model calculated?

You should be able to find this information from ANSYS Theory guide. Please refer to section 188.8.131.52 (v18.2) for details on RPI boiling model. Here is a screenshot of the information.
Thank you Kremella,
I know how to find the equation for bubble departure diameter, but I can't find how the 'boiling-dia' in defining the secondary phase diameter is calculated. As shown below.
Please check out section 184.108.40.206.2.1 on Bubble diameter in the Theory guide. This diameter is dependent on the local sub-cooling.
Hope this helps.
Thanks for your reply, Karthik,
So this bubble diameter is exactly the same as 'boiling-dia'. Does the wall lubrication models use this model as well?
Yes, the wall lubrication models in RPI boiling model (Antal et al., section 220.127.116.11.1) uses these bubble diameter definitions. I'd recommend you go through the theory guide for additional details. Hope this helps.
Good luck with your model.
