How to make Section Plane of meshed geometry without drawing the plane with free hand?

Hello Everyone,

I am doing the meshing of a 3D geometry; and I want to cut the geometry to see the inner mesh elements. I want to cut the mesh at specific locations (for e.g y=0 and z=0). If I draw the plane with free hand the plane doesn't lies exactly at the same location. Is there any other way to draw section plane at specific location apart from drawing it with free hand. Kindly help me with the same.

please select corresponding geometry and change corresponding axis. 

please play with these controls in the panel to get the desired result.

I have created a coordinate system. When I right click the coordinate system and use create section plane, it cuts the geometry by default. How do I instruct it to cut the plane at z=0 or x=0 plane.

It creates a plane at y = 0 when my principal axis is x. I changed my principal axis to y; so now it creates the plane at x=0. Thus, it is creating a section plane only along one direction by default.

What if I want to create a plane through my principal axis ?

please create a required coordinate system. 

then right click coordinate system and use create cut plane.
