Inflation, stair-stepping & poor mesh

I get the same warning for the attached geometry. I have already created a body of influence with smaller element size and set the max. angle in the inflation settings to 180deg. I also enabled "proximity and curvature". The problem area is mainly the tip region. Does anyone have an idea how I can resolve this please?

Please can you highlight where on the geometry the mesh is? It looks like you've got some "odd" cells but I don't know if that's an error or just a slice through the mesh. For cut planes use the pale blue triangle/tet symbol to show full cells.

yes, as rob said, please insert some good images and explain. 

in addition, when you say poor mesh, what is your min orthogonal quality? if it is more than 0.1, you can proceed to solver.
