Hello,

I am working with two-phase flow (air-water) in Ansys Fluent with Eulerian model, and I would like to get the value of the source and sink terms of IAC (Interfacial Area Concentration) transport equation. It is important to me because I want to see how much breakage and coalescence is happening in the flow.

Do I need an UDF routine to do that?

Thanks.

What do you want to do?

Hy Amine,

This is the IAC transport equation:

And I want to get the values of S_rc, S_we, and S_ti.

Best regards,

Flavio

Hello,

Which model are you using? Hibiki-Ishii model or Ishii-Kim model?

Are you trying to estimate the numerical values of these source terms?

Thanks.

Best,

Karthik

You need to recalculate the values as the source terms are not available in supported way for post processing

Amine

Thanks, Amine: I will try to calculate these source terms.

Hello Karthik,

I'm using both models, Hibiki-Ishii and Ishii-Kim in two separated cases.  I'd like to estimate these terms to know the contribution of bubble coalescence and break-up in a two-phase flow.

Best regards,

Flavio
