Hi all,

What represent r, m and beta (damage variable parameters) in Mullins effect?

Thanks.

HI Farhan,

Basically, All 3 are material parameters used in the Damage function (the modified Ogden-Roxburgh damage function) and have the following functional form:

All 3 are dimensionless and would make the material stiffer with increasing values (please see the attached picture).

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Sandeep
