Non-converging Energy Equation Results

@peteroznewman

I hope you're doing very well. Actually, I just started validating my results from a new prototype (a large one), and I'm not sure why my energy equation is not converging. I was wondering if you could check my geometry, as I guess my geometry is the issue. I just used the ACIS format, not the IGS format (converted from Solidworks) as you recommended me last time.

I really appreciate your help in advance!

Plot a slice through the mesh mid way up (use the cut plane in Meshing & the "blue triangle" for full cells). Then a few contours of velocity & temperature: simply we need to know what you're modelling & seeing to know what's going on. As we're not allowed to download files we need pictures.  Some case settings will also be useful: we don't even know what it is!

Dear Rwoolhou, Please let me know what specific info do you need? Thanks!

Dear Peter,

Thank you so much for your quick reply. I tries to attach ACIS file, but it does not let me! It might worth mentioning that I used meshing in size 0.75, as my release is just educational and does not accept me more than 512,000 cells.

Moda, I'm not an expert in CFD but if your model meshed, it is unlikely to be a geometry problem. You attached an IGES file, not an ACIS file. Post more pictures as requested above.

Check the boundary conditions and mesh resolution around the "hot" bit.  We'd need more details to diagnose so please post pictures.
