prevent droplet breaukp once solidification temperature is reached

Dear community,

I am modelling  liquid metal atomization with an inert gas.

KHRT is used to model droplet breakup. However, I would like to ask if it is possible to impose a condition that after a certain threshold temperature (in this case liquid metal solidification temperature), droplets (particles once solidified) do not breakup anymore. Is it possible to control this mechanism via UDF?

The easier way may be to make the material surface tension a function of temperature: as you near the solidification temperature surface tension increases rapidly which should reduce/prevent further break up.
