Yes and no. It's possible to read the case into Fluent Meshing, and then get an stl file (not straightforward though). Similarly read the case into Fluent Meshing, clear the volume mesh and write out the boundary mesh. This will read into SpaceClaim.

However, you'll be left with the faceted geometry and with the surface number limits in the Academic & Student versions you'll almost certainly exceed those with the mesh file.  With a Research licence you'll be OK assuming the hardware is powerful enough.

I just click on fluid flow( fluent) and import the case file into meshing. after import, it is showing(imported mesh) but I cannot be able to open it. can you please guide what i need to do next to get an .stp file. I want to open it into design modeler, not in SpaceClaim.

Getting a step file out is not going to be easy as you now have a faceted model. This means each facet is now a CAD surface and that's not something you can just convert back to step by clicking a button unless you want several thousand triangular faces.

What do you want to do with the CAD as it is possible to work with faceted geometry in SpaceClaim.

I want to see the geometry of the model and change after understanding i want to make my geometry. If i have direct access to you may be i can easily show you the case file. And want to know how the geometry was created an on which software like cad or solidworks. If you could help me in this it will be appreciated. Regards Usama

You'll not be able to tell where the model came from by reading it back into CAD. When we mesh the model the underlying CAD is not transferred into the mesh: the model Fluent sees is the faceted representation of the original CAD.  In SpaceClaim you can scale the model (we can do that in Fluent too) or you can work (with limitations) directly with the faceted model.

On the Community we're only able to view inline images: we can't download attachments or make direct contact due to various legal restrictions. However, if your supervisor/Professor can access the Customer Portal they can log a question on your behalf and that will be picked up by the local team (I'm in the UK, other staff are scattered around the globe).
