Rigid Body Stops Motion UDF

Is it possible to confine motion using a UDF. Similar to the below tutorial, skip to 3:26 to see the UDF:

Except where gravity is used in the tutorial above, I'd like to define something similar to joint motion in Structural. For example, a rigid body will only be allowed to translate 3  mm on the x-axis.

If you're using UDFs you can do pretty much anything you want: can you sketch out what you're wanting to do?

Thank you for your reply. My solution came from further digging into the Ansys v.19 capabilities.

V.19's 6DOF tools allow specification of rigid body rotation/translation and constraints of that motion. I incorrectly referred to Fluent's constraints as stops because of prior experience with the joint tools in Structural.
