Segmentation violation when attempting to convert to unstructured mesh

I have a fully mapped mesh of a specific geometry I am working on. Due to some highly orthogonal faces in a specific area I am forced to use swept block type conversion to generate unstructured mesh for particular faces. I am making sure that these faces connect to VORFN and there are no errors when converting mapped block to swept. I can even create a pre-mesh and visualise the mesh with scan planes command. Mesh quality check produces very good results with orthogonality being highly improved.

However, the moment I try to convert to unstructured mesh for purposes of saving the mesh, ICEM produces a result: segmentation violation. There are no errors if I try to convert before applying the swept block conversion.

Can someone please point me to a correct direction, or is it simply a bug within ICEM core algorithm?

Thank you.

Hi,

It is very hard to debug segment violation errors. There could be several factors from the system hardware, version, pre-compiled libraries that the code uses to the way that the algorithm is working for a particular geometry that might cause this.

Are you able to replicate this for simple geometries as well or is it just the specific one you are working with? If so, Can you post some images explaining what you are doing?

Hi,

What is your cell count? What are your machine configurations? It may be a memory issue. What version you are using?

Can you please delete unstructured blocks and check if you can load mesh?

Are you able to do tet mesh in the same geometry?

As mentioned, inserting some images would be useful.
