I HAVE IMPORTED A GAS PHASE AND A SURFACE REACTION CHEMKIN MECHANISM  in ANSYS FLUENT. There are two zones in this case. one solid  and other is for passage of gas. i have set surface mechanism set on wall of solid and gas phase mechanism in gas zone. I have set chemkin mixture as material in gas zone, how should i set solid zone. do i need to define it as a species from chemkin mixture material or i can  pick other than from chemkin mixture material?

The solid zone could be assigned to a solid material.

i have defined that zone as fluid zone and assigned carbon-solid (which is found in fluent fluids library) to it. is it alright?

Why as fluid zone? Just define it as solid zone (by changing the type) so that only energy equation is solved.
