Is there any way to specify the direction of magnetization (or north and south poles) on a geometry? I am trying to simulate the magnetic fields of multiple bar magnets in different arrangements

I'm a little confused as to what values I am supposed to put in for x, y, and z? For instance, if my bar magnet is magnetized through thickness, oriented with the south pole on the bottom and the north pole on the top, would my y value be 1 and x & z would be 0?
Thanks for your help!
