Hello I am trying to run a steady state thermal analysis simulation on an object in space. Currently I'm modeling the parts inside the object which are producing heat themselves. They are meant to be radiating heat to other components around them, but not the shell. With radiation I need to input an ambient temperature so I have been using the average temp of the shell alone. However I am don't think this is correct as ambient temperature will change as the shell's temperature changes. Do I need to model this in transient analysis or am I missing anything? I am also wondering if ansys takes the changing shell into account.

Thanks,

John
