Hello.

Is there an option in Design Modeler that allow us to import a terrain with reliefs.

The map is prepared with google earth?

What formats do you have available? You may be better off with SpaceClaim as there are more import options.

Rwoolhou thank you for your reply.

I have several formats, DWG DXF Sat and stl, with sat I can open it in DM but not in form, I can't manipulate this figure.
I have a XYZ file that I need to be able to upload to DM.
for SpaceClaim I've never used them before .

If it's rows of points the check out the line import into DM. We don't have a point cloud reader (rather we can't do much with it afterwards except manually join all the dots up) so really need the surface.

Try reading the stl into SpaceClaim and see what you get. Then read up (on here) about working with stl files: the student version is limited in how many cells, surfaces etc it can handle so you may have problems.

I used Spaceclaim but it's the same , I can't manipulate

Can't import, manipulate graphics or work on the surface?  Images would help.

I can import, but I can't manipulate.

I have this comment: the mesh size is not impermeable.

You can right mouse click on the Facet body and Convert to Solid, then it will be available to edit and mesh.

Peterosnewman thank you for your answer

For the conversion to solid it is done. but not to be able to edit  .

What edit do you want to do?

There are some tools to clean up the facet body before conversion to solid.

Once the facet body has been cleaned up, the solid body should be able to be split with a plane for example.
