it can mean that non-physical boundary conditions have been applied, or that the initial values were inappropriately set or anything that causes the linear solver to fail. As I can see you have two-phase flows and this kind of simulations are prone to stability issues even more than single phase runs due to the nature of the coupled physics and the ambiguity of the solution system. Add more info about the case!

I am simulation air flowing in from bottom of a cylinder column (1m height,0.1m diameter). The column is filled with water and a lattice structure at 0.7m height inside the column. I could previously run successfully with other lattice structure.
