Hello. I was working on explicit dynamics earlier on. Changed a model from flexible to rigid. However, I couldn't perform geometry selection to put loads and supports on the model afterwards. Please what do I have to do??

Sequel to the above post. I'm actually trying to model the cutting process of a reel lawn mower. So I wanna make the grass model flexible and blade model rigid. Turns out I couldn't input fixed supports and loads on the blade model after making it rigid. So how do I get to model the rotation of the reel blade to cut the grass?? Please I need your responses. It's my project which is getting due for submission soon. Thanks in anticipation

Try uploading images of the model and the error which will help us understand. Take a moment to review the Guidelines.

As a general suggestion have you tried angular velocity under initial conditions?

I have tried angular velocity under initial conditions. It gave an error display,  "A general failure has occured".

In the image above, i inserted cylindrical coordinates, put a velocity for the blade in the cylindrical coordinate. Thus, the velocity was in rad/s. The blade however didn't rotate in the results. Is there something I should have done?

thanks in anticipation

It probably has to the do with the co-ordinate system

Thanks... I'll check it out
