Wall thickness on beam profile

Hi all,

Is it possible to create a wall thickness in a circular beam profile and have it be a ruler dimension. I tried the annotation dimensions and grouping it but it wouldn't drive the design and couldn't be used as a parameter.

I'm trying to optimise torsional stiffness of a chassis with various tube sizes. I am using response surface optimisation. I was initially using the inner and outer radius as my parameters but that meant the lower limit of the outer tube could never be smaller than the largest inner radius. Which isn't the most effective way of analysing it.

Any Ideas?

Create a new Profile and choose the Circular Tube section. It has two ruler dimensions.

Ye that's the tool I was using. However I needed to dimension OD and wall thickness. It's ok though, I found a work around using a spread sheet.
